What is TUCSON HOMELESS HELP?
TUCSON HOMELESS HELP is a portal to provide free information for those individuals who are living without permanent housing.
Our goal is to provide a comprehensive site for all of the available services and products in the Tucson area. This will be an ongoing project, and we will update the site as we learn of new offerings. If you are a service provider, or provide food, clothing, etc. please go to our CONTACT page and send us your information. We aim to update all information within 72 hours and keep abreast of any time changes, new groups, deletions, etc.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau almost 1,400,000 Arizonans live in households that earn less than the federal poverty level. That’s equal to 21.2% of the population. Compare that to the national figure of just 14.3% and you can see that poverty is a severe problem for the Grand Canyon State. It gets even worse. Among those from 18 to 64, the poverty rate is 18.4%. Among the elderly – 65 and older – 13.8% live in poverty. Within Arizona, Tucson is the poorest city.
Our listings are for any service provider, organization, governmental body, individuals, churches, etc. that provides services to people without permanent housing. To the homeless, we provide a one stop site to find the services they need.
Many groups provide services that are found "word of mouth" in Tucson, but many do not know of the services. If you know of services, or are a provider, we would like to list your services for free on this website. Our goal is to help as many people as possible find the food, shelter, transportation, etc. they need to help them with their day-to-day living needs. We try to verify information listed here as often as possible. If you know of any groups or services available, please contact us via our contact form.
