Mail Processor Drop-In Center
The Primavera Foundation
Homeless Intervention & Prevention (HIP) is an outreach center that provides a mailing address, telephone use, bathrooms & free toiletries and meds to individuals experiencing homelessness and those in need. Case management is also available to program participants in crisis.
ADMIN NOTE:
Keep in mind, the Primavera mail center isn't the most reliable in delivering packages and mail. Many people have given feedback they they have not received their mail, checked in but mail they knew was sent and were expecting was not received. If you don't want to be in the Primavera database and shared with other social service agencies, your mail will go to the "undisclosed" or "undeliverable" section and you must specifically ask for them to check there.
If you are looking for work, be aware that putting the mailing address on your resume may alert the potential employer that you are homeless. We recommend not putting the address on your resume if you receive mail at Primavera to avoid discrimination.
The drop-in center is open at 9 am and closed at 12:30 M,W, TH, F. So your access to your mail is very limited, especially if you are working a 9-5 job.
We aren't certain if you can authorize someone else to pick up your mail for you.
From their website:
Please provide photo ID or some other identification when picking up your mail at:
702 S. 6th Avenue
Tucson, AZ 85701
Open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm.
No appointment necessary
